Winter Fun!!

Winter is my favorite time of the year as far as fashion goes. There are so many cute looks it's hard to decide on what to wear. Jeggings have become very fashionable and comfortable. I love jeggings paired with a form fitting sweater and knee high boots. Lane Bryant now sells DKNY products. The DKNY jeggings are absolutely the best jeggings!!!! They are comfortable and stylish giving you a nice sleek leg. Another great look is to wear the jeggings along with an oversized button down shirt and adding an oversized belt to pronounce your waistline. Add a killer pair of cowboy boots (and yes I did say cowboy boots) and you ready to go!!. Check out Steve Madden they have a decent selection of boots at affordable prices. Zappos is also a great place to look for boots especially if you need an extended calf boot. What are some of your winter fashions?

Putting it all together

Being the plus size woman that I am I've found that creativity is a must when pulling together a cute fit for the day. I say this because of the limited supply of plus size clothing available although we are making headway. Now being creative to me is making the outfit work for your personality. I guess you could say I'm a girly girl. I love cute Tee's and fitted jeans. Sometimes I cut out the collar of my tee's and wear a cute tank top for a layered look. I might also make a small slit down the middle front of my Tee for a V-neck look. When I'm really feeling creative I will make slits along the side of my Tee for a cute 80's torn Tee look. Anyway you work it you're sure to have a hot fit! The layered look seems to be the "in" thing now, plus it leaves more opportunities to mix and match accessories.

The Skinny on Skinny Jeans

Don't be fooled, skinny jeans are not just for skinny people. Skinny jeans are FABULOUS!!! I absolutely love them. Skinny jeans can make you look like a million bucks if you wear them right. The key to skinny jeans is to find the perfect fit. What is the perfect fit well you want a skinny jean that follows the flow of your body if you get a pair that are too big you run the risk of the calf of the jean being too baggy and not fitting the curve of your calf like it should. You want the skinny jean to elongate your legs and the right pair will do just that! You also do not want to have a pair that are too tight around the waist because that may leave you with too much buldge. I always buy a pair that are a size smaller than I normally wear because they can tend to stretch. If you have a problem with too much buldge around the abdomen area the best thing is to just throw on a pair of spanx underneath to smooth you out. I love a cute pair of heels with skinny jeans, the narrowness of the jean at the ankle area really makes your heels look great and continues the elongated look down to your feet. Very Cute!!!

Plus Size Fashion No Mu Mu's here

Ladies,
Just because we have a little meat on our bones doesn't mean we can't be sexy. I have embraced every inch of my volumptuous body and I'm just waiting for the world to catch up. I will not settle for the big oversized flower filled blouses that invade department stores in the plus size section. Instead I arm myself with my fierce fashion detector and zone in on what makes me into the diva I am today. I love shopping for clothes, clothes, and more clothes. It's in my nature. Yes sometimes I get frustrated when I can't find a hot top that would look fierce with my hot pink sandals, but I don't let it get me down I just continue on my search. I know some of you may be a little scared to use the internet for shopping for fear that what you buy may not fit. Let me tell you it is sooooo worth it. You can find so many things on the internet that you would never be able to find in a store for plus size women. If you do happen to buy something that doesn't fit you can send it back for a refund in most cases. I'm 32 years old and I'm loving life right now. I think fashion is so fun and can make you feel like a million bucks even if you didn't spend that much...lol. That being said, it does not cost a fortune to look good. You can make a cheap dress look like you spent hundreds of dollars on it just by adding accessories. One of my favorite motos is "find the shoe then find the dress". It is so much easier to find a dress to match a pair of shoes then buying a dress first and then looking for shoes. Once you have the dress and shoes the accessories will fall right into place. It's all about feeling good ladies and when you look good you feel good and nothing can stop you from getting what you want out of life.
